TVIT 4D Scorecard is the name of a new analysis method evolved by itSMF and Maturity. Enterprises can utilise it to record the quality, customer satisfaction, process maturity and costs of their IT at a glance and compare them against a benchmark. Key performance indicators (KPIs) and deviations from the market indicate the status of IT and show room for improvement.
The German chapter of itSMF (IT Service Management Forum Deutschland) and the IT benchmarking specialist Maturity have developed a service with which enterprises can review the performance of their IT organisations from four different perspectives. The TVIT 4D Scorecard (Total Value of Information Technology - 4 Dimensions) documents the benefit of IT service management. Moreover, on the basis of the 4D scorecard, enterprises can record their processes and their maturity in connection with their costs, IT quality and IT customer satisfaction and can compare them against the market. Thus, it is possible to find the way towards an optimum relationship between price and performance in relation to the respective IT's business requirements.
The KPIs from the four IT dimensions of costs, quality, process maturity and customer satisfaction are compared against a suitable peer group as a representative of the market. Anonymised comparison data comes from current our benchmarking projects. All other data is gathered locally on customer premises together with a consulting partner and Maturity by conducting personal interviews on the basis of structured guidelines. After validation of data, Maturity choses a suitable and representative peer group, with whose KPIs the client's values are compared.
Deviations between the current status, internal expectations and the market level point out where there is a need for action and IT can be optimised. By arrangement, it is possible to additionally point out strengths and weaknesses in individual areas of a customer's IT to discover specific improvements.
